Spokane Washington, anyone from there or living there?

I am really interested in moving to Spokane, Washington in 6 months or s, from Texas. If any of you have any knowledge about how easy the public transportation is to use, and how friendly the city is to a cane traveler like me, I would love to hear from you. Are the sidewalks pretty good? How about construction all over the place? Thanks everybody!
